My little hero

Hi, I’m Isabelle.

When my story began in 2009, I was 2 and a half years old.  I have now reached the grand age of 8!

So what can I tell you about myself?  Seems I spend a lot of time at school (which I love every minute of), but when I’m not there I have fun playing with my friends, swimming, dancing  and learning to play tennis.  I really enjoy spending time with my Mummy, Daddy and my little brother Ollie.  My favourite times have been visiting my Daddy when he was working in Jordan, and our holiday in Florida.  I wished upon a star when Ollie was in hospital that he would get better so we could all go to Mickey Mouse’s house . My wish came true!  I also love my ‘bestest’ friend Ella who I have known since I was born and my other best friend Zinnia I go to school with.  We love dressing up as Princesses, dancing to Olly Murs (I ❤ Olly!), and doing what little girls do best, chatting oh and dancing in my room (Mummy often thinks the ceiling is going to collapse)!  My best friend in the book is called Ellie Bear.  I named her after my real and oldest best friend Ella.

So that’s me!  I hope you enjoy our books.  I had lots of fun as my Mummy’s script advisor on our other stories!  I even chose the name for the next book, ‘Click Click, Buckle Up Quick’!  I am very proud of my Mummy and always think ways to help her and keep her safe from latex.  I wouldn’t want any other children to be scared if their Mummy or Daddy hurt themselves or became really ill at home.  All children should know how to call for Emergency help so I made a little video on YouTube to ask all the parents to teach their children about 999 calls.  You can see my clip here: Izzy & Ollie’s Plea to Parents

About us

Izzy and Ollie is a new Children's Safety Education project which was inspired when 2 and a half year old Isabelle called an ambulance for her Mum when she experienced a life threatening allergic reaction. The incident made Joanne consider how wonderful it would be if all young children could be educated about emergency situations. To simply learn their full name, age and address as early as possible (as her 1st book illustrates) could be highly beneficial not only to themselves, but it could also contribute to help save other people’s life. The books follow characters Izzy and Ollie who find themselves entangled in various situations. They encompass Child Safety issues together with simple courses of action that children could learn and replicate should they ever find themselves in the same situation.
